· From my research I have found out that movies do not reveal much information regarding the story. From all the movies I watched and reviewed all of them didn’t give lots of information regarding the storyline.
· I have noticed that they try to keep the audience entertained by showing a mysterious scene where it makes us attracted and attentive. This is done so the audience do not get bored and lose focus on what is happening in the movie. In the movie Twilight, they showed a mysterious scene taking place in a forest and we see a hunt unfold. It creates a lot of questions as to why this happened and what its purpose was.
· I have also noticed that movies try to set the mood early by using music and various types of lighting. In the movie Harry Potter, they started off with creepy non-diegetic music and all they were rolling on the screen was only the production’s logo.
· From looking at my research I have found out that it is crucial to establish the main characters early so the audience can identify them as the main characters and create a bond between them. In the movie Hot Fuzz, I have noticed that they only focused on the main character for almost two whole minutes. Whenever the scenes changed there will also be a close up shot of him.
· Having close ups on important objects are a good way telling the audience of what has happened without really going into too much detail and wasting time. This can be seen in the Harry Potter film where they had a close up of a newspaper article indicating what has recently happened in the story.
